SECURITY POLICY MINISTRY OF HEALTH MALAYSIA
ICT security policy contains rules that must be read and followed in the use of information technology assets and communications technology (ICT) Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH). This policy also explains to all users in the Ministry of Health about their role and responsibility in protecting the MOH ICT assets.
MOH ICT security policies in place to ensure the security of MOH ICT and managed and ensure business continuity with minimized impact of security incidents.
This policy covers all ICT resources or assets used as:
i. Information (eg, files, documents, electronic data);
ii. Software (eg, application and system software) and
iii. Physical (example: computers, communication equipment and magnetic media).
This policy applies to all users of MOH employees, suppliers and consultants who manage, maintain, process, retrieve, download, create, upload, share, store and use MOH ICT assets.
Principles that form the basis of the MOH ICT Security Policy and must be followed are as follows:
a. Access on a need to know
b. Minimum access rights
Secretary General of the Ministry of Health is responsible for the implementation of the directive with the help of ICT Security Management Team consists of the Chief Information Officer (CIO), ICT Security Officer (ICTSO), and other elected officials.
This policy aims to ensure that the organization's management direction to protect the ICT assets in accordance with legal requirements. This policy should be disseminated MOH to all users (including employees, suppliers and consultants who deal with MOH).
MOH ICT Security Policy is subject to revision and amendment from time to time in line with changes in technology, applications, procedures, legal and social importance. Maintenance procedures MOH ICT Security Policy is as follows:
(A) To review this policy at least once a year to identify and determine the changes that are needed;
(B) Submit the proposed change in writing to ICTSO for presentation and approval of the ICT Steering Committee Meeting (JPICT) Ministry of Health, and
(C) Informing the policy changes that have been agreed by the MOH JPICT to all users.

MOH ICT Security Policy is applicable to all users of ICT MOH and no exemption is given.
